Photo & Reports by Omar Faruk ,Doha, Qatar — The third edition of Web Summit Qatar officially kicks off today at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, bringing together global tech leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers from around the world.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 6:00 PM in Doha, will feature keynote addresses by Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, alongside the founder of Web Summit, marking the formal start of the region’s largest technology gathering.

This year’s summit is expected to welcome more than 30,000 attendees from over 120 countries, reflecting the event’s rapid growth since its inaugural Doha edition. Participants include startup founders, venture capitalists, government leaders, media representatives, and technology experts.

Web Summit Qatar 2026 will host a record 1,600 startups and 900 investors, including senior partners from leading global investment firms such as Amino Capital, Greycroft, B Capital, and Initialized Capital, underscoring Doha’s rising profile as a global technology and innovation hub.

The summit’s speaker lineup features prominent global figures, including H.H. Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation; Larry Li, Founder and Managing Partner at Amino Capital and a three-time Forbes Midas Lister; Mati Staniszewski, Co-Founder of ElevenLabs; Eduardo Saverin, Co-Founder of Facebook and B Capital; Colin Kaepernick, Founder and CEO of Lumi; and economist Yanis Varoufakis, among others.

Over the coming days, Web Summit Qatar will host discussions, exhibitions, and networking sessions focused on artificial intelligence, startups, sustainability, fintech, and the future of technology, reinforcing Qatar’s ambition to position itself at the center of global digital innovation.
